- ABOUT ME:
- Im a fitness and nutrition student first...focusing on preventative care..healthy foods etc.I am also a young business woman...with jewelry making experience...I help design a brand of beautiful glass bead bracelets that are called,* KOLORHOWZ BRACELET LINE*...my girls are the lead designers for these designs.They are a brand of beautiful real glass bead bracelets ..with many beautiful colors/designs/ shapes.The bracelets are assorted mixes and are mainly bright-colored and they will look great with any ensemble you put on, they are soo pretty..and uniquely designed resembeling certain kinds of candies/treats..they look soo good you would just want to eat them!They sell for $3.75/p bracelet...and half of the proceeds benefits my girls program...which again,are the ones who designs these beautiful bracelets!!
I am also an lead advocate/counselor for my young girls program..which focuses on self awareness for young black women..who are more urbanalized..and fatherless,and need a big sister/helper around when their mothers/parents can not always be there for them to deal with sex issue..body image issues/color complex issue..hair issue..and we focus on making them aware of the importance of education/chasity.
We let them know that these 2 parts of life,will be 2 of the most important parts of life,thus we try and encourage these 11-17 yr olds to make smart decisions regarding these aspects of their lives.
I am very passionate about my work with younger girls.
- WHAT DOES SISTERHOOD MEAN TO YOU AND HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO YOU TO HAVE A POSITVE CONNECTION WITH OTHER FEMALES?
- Sisterhood is more then important to me..Sisterhood is the glue that holds the feminine mindsets intact!!
Sisterhood has been apart of my young 23 yrs ,ever since I can remember.
Ever since I was able to walk/talk..and Overstand things in ths world,it has always been through/with the hands of women..specifically my mother/aunts/cousins and grandmother!! Not to mention friends/mentors in the youth program I was involved in when I was a youth!!
Sisterhood is like a bond that should never be broken
There are many,many ,many aspects of life that I could of never went through with my head held high,without the help of my sisters in this world.
I think that the patriarchal system that is currently in state,and has been for eons,need to be stopped in a complete,and more balanced with matriarchy making its way to the top,because with love and passion that the feminine mindset can/usually do bring forth to the world,it can/will make the world a better place.
There is not enough words to use in this small essay to describe what sisterhood means to me!
I will try and keep up with my own femininty/love and passion,my own hard works for my younger sisters in this world..as well as continue to connect with more sisters..young and old alike.
I would love to be able to connect /network with many more sisters of likemind,in hopes we can grow and continue to network..and make it spread throughout the world!!
Sisterhood means a great deal to me.
